An earthquake with magnitude 8.8 hits central Chile killing 122 people leaving the country in a "state of catastrophe" as President Michelle Bachelet says. The earthquake struck between two of the most important cities if Chile, Santiago and Concepcion leaving them in severe states. This earthquake is the biggest earthquake that hit Chile since 50 years. This earthquake even set off tsunami warnings to some countries in the Pacific.
Geologists say it's hard to predict the occurences of earthquakes. Will the Americas face any more quaky surprises?
